Special Programs

Each of these special programs offers members (or prospective members) with special exercise needs the opportunity to work closely with a trained, experienced program coordinator:

• Our Next Step program is a scheduled, supervised program of exercises designed to assist in the transition from medical treatment to independent exercise for those with special needs related to exercise
• Aqua New – This aquatic exercise class is offered through our partnership with Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network; for more details, please contact LVH at (610) 402-CARE
• The Emmaus Aquatic Club offers its Swim America Program at the HPC Aquatic Center; for details, contact EMAC directly at (610) 965-5800
• SCUBA lessons are offered through an agreement with Indian Valley Scuba; these small group lessons are scheduled throughout the year, and all equipment is provided (call 215-256-6000)
• Elite Mixed Martial Arts Center offers karate and self-defense instruction for both children and adults; contact EMMAC at (610) 799-2630
• Commencing in January 2009, HPC is pleased to offer Red Cross certification courses in lifeguarding (initial and recertification) and CPR/AED (initial and re-certification)
